Carol became the CEO of the KZN Film Commission in October 2013 where she was required to set the strategic foundation and establish the systems, processes and polices in order for the business to begin operating from 1 February 2014. Carols’ role as CEO requires her to provide strategic guidance and advice to her executive team; build solid partnerships and relationships with the industry and government organisations to co-ordinate the efforts in developing the film industry in KZN and to ensure that the mandate of the commission is achieved through demonstrative good governance and ethical business practices.

A qualified Chartered Accountant, Carol is also skilled in Business strategy, Business Development, management consulting, financial management, Strategic and Business planning as well as project management.
Prior to heading up KwaZulu-Natal Film Commission she worked as the HOD and Accounting Officer for Department of Economic Development and Tourism in KZN for 5 years, Carol also worked for KZN Provincial Treasury as the Accountant-General and Accounting Officer, where she was driving financial management reforms with the introduction of the PFMA from 2000.
